As 2021 ended, I worked on this second sketch of my leaf series. I kept thinking about the sensation of a delicate fallen leaf that you hold gently in your hand for fear of it crumbling. And then that soft, crushing feeling and even sound replayed in my memory.🍂 The mostly brown and broken leaf serves as a tiny token of fleeting vibrancy and zeal. Not in a sad way, but in recognition of the seasons of life, may we truly appreciate the beauty of each one and hold it gently.
