The third leaf in the series took on the color palette of Fruit Stripe gum rather quickly! It reminded me of the colors and flavors of that childhood treat. I recognized it and tasted it all at once.😋 As a kid, there were so few worries or concerns, just dreams that would float me happily along from moment to moment. Just like Fruit Stripe gum, that should only be chewed for the thirty seconds it holds flavor, I tried very hard to just stay present for this one. I had to come to the studio and simply be available to the process. As I developed the sketch, I battled my grown-up tendency to plan and plot and even force results! This was an exercise in staying in the moment! gently.
